When the user deletes features they are not deleted from the Application Server but only marked as deleted (as long as deleted features are not purged). Therefore it is possible that a view's member features include deleted features.

If a view will include deleted feature or not is defined by the deleted features handling setting that is available for each view. The Application Server uses this setting to automatically append a filter term to each view's filter on execution of the view.

Table 1 shows the available options for the deleted features handling setting. As this setting is available for every view the effective handling of deleted features in a specific view depends on the logical combination of these settings on all views on the views path.

If the deleted feature handling settings for at least one each view in the view's path is Include only deleted and the setting for all other views in the path is either Include only deleted or Include both then view will only include deleted features.

If the deleted feature handling settings for at least one each view in the view's path is Include only non deleted and the setting for all other views in the path is either Include only non deleted or Include both then the view will only include non deleted members

If the deleted feature handling settings for all views in the view's path is Include both then the view will include both deleted and non deleted members

If the deleted feature handling settings for at least one each view in the view's path is Include only non deleted and the deleted feature handling settings for at least one each view in the view's path is Include only deleted then the view will have no members.
