In Redbex there is no special almighty administrator user nor is there an administrator permission that could be assigned to users. If you want an almighty user i.e. someone who is allowed to access every resource in the system you have to define a user with the appropriate privileges yourself. While this concept sometimes results a little bit more work when configuring privileges it gives you much more control on who can access what in the system. For example it is possible to define privileges in a way that a specific user has all the permission to configure the system, but still has no access on the content itself.

During Installation of the Application Server Database the Setup Program will create a manager user (with a user name and password you choose) that will be granted all necessary permissions to configure the system, these are:

All System permissions

All Domain permissions on the root domain.

If in later versions of the Application Server new permissions are added this user will also automatically get these new permissions.

The manager user created by the installer cannot be deleted and cannot be deactivated.

We recommend to use the manager user only for administrative purposes.
