For performance reasons the map will not show mapping objects of all mapping events in a construction area but only for those mapping events that are in a mapping area you selected. The grid, chainage labels and other visual elements will also only be shown for the detail area and you can create new mapping events only within the geographic region of the detail area.

When opening the mapping page for a construction area that has mapping events the detail area will be automatically set around the latest mapping event. When opening the mapping page for an empty construction area MappRover will not automatically set a detail area.

Setting the mapping area

You select a detail area simply by tapping in. When you have tapped it, the borders of the mapping area becomes purple as seen in Figure 1. A new menu bar also appears in the top. In that menu bar you can

3.Set area to ready

4.Delete area
 

Changing the detail area

If you want to set another part of the construction area as your detail area just repeat the above described procedure. Note that you cannot change the detail area as long as you have an active mapping event.
