The Application Server allows to store spatial data with features and observations. Spatial data describes the location, shape and orientation (LSO) of features or observations in space.

Spatial data is used by the Application Server for querying, processing and presenting features and observations in various ways. All spatial data stored with the Application Server will usually only approximate the actual shape and position of the real world phenomenon it represents.

The accuracy of spacial data in Redbex is GIS-like and not geodetic, i.e. the accuracy of all spatial calculations is good enough for all general mapping requirements, but will usually not reach mm precision.
