This feature term type allows filtering for features that are located in a specific interval on an axis. The interval of interest is given by providing a feature of type Axis position feature a Start offset and an End offset. The actual boundaries of the interval of interest is calculated by getting the latest observation of the provided axis position feature and subtracting Start offset and End Offset from it.

This term will include also features with a feature type that has spatial support on observations. In that case the feature will be matched if any of the observations are located in the interval of interest.

Setting

Description

Axis position feature

The axis position feature that is used to get a position on the axis on which the dynamic interval is calculated. The selected feature also indirectly specifies the used axis reference system.

Start offset

The offset from the axis position defined by the Axis position offset, that defines the start position of the interval.

The specified offset will be added to the axis position defined by the axis position feature.

End offset

The offset from the axis position defined by the Axis position offset, that defines the end position of the interval.

The specified offset will be added to the axis position defined by the axis position feature.

Search in other reference systems of axis

The filter will only match for features that are located using the axis that is base for the specified Axis Reference System. However, using the Search in other reference systems of axis setting you can choose if the filter shall include only features that use the same Axis reference System as used for specifying the Interval of interest or that use any reference system on the same axis.

Search criteria

The Search criteria setting can be used to define how the filter shall handle features that are only partly included in the interval of interest. When set to Fully contained the filter will only match features  where Offset 1 and Offset 2 of the LSO are both in the interval of interest. When set to Intersects this filter will match features where Offset 1 or Offset 2 of the LSO is in the interval of interest.
