The domain term can be used to filter for features that belong to a specific domain.

Including subordinate domains needs multiple database queries and - depending on the depth of your domain tree - might be significantly slower than querying one specific domain without subordinate domains (O(n) where n is the number of subordinate domains for the selected domain)
