With Attachments Redbex provides the possibility to add files of any kind to features and observations. Any feature (of any type) and observation can have any number of attachments.

As attachments are files they undergo the same treatment as all other files stored by the Application Server, which includes the generation of preview images and the extraction of meta data.

Besides the file the Application Server stores a Description, a tag and a sequence number for each attachment. The description shall be used to describe the contents of the file, the tag is used for classifying attachments and the sequence number can be used to define the position of the attachment within the set of attachments added to a single feature or observation.
