Axis section drawings display data along a chosen axis reference system. Axis section drawings are generated in a specific scale i.e. the distance of drawing elements in the row content of the drawing is corresponding to the real-world position of features or observations along the axis reference system.
Redbex renders axis section drawings in DXF (Drawing Interchange Format) in version 2013.
Anatomy of an axis section drawing
An axis section drawing is structured in a drawing header, rows and a drawing footer. Rows consist of a row header, a row legend and the row content. Figure 1 shows this basic structure of an axis section drawing.
