A mapping event is the area on the mapping template of a construction part that is documented at the same time. In MappRover a mapping event is represented by a polygon geometry and associated attributes.
Mapping events are always disjoint i.e. there is no point on a mapping template that can be covered by more than one mapping event.
By looking at the icon in the bottom right corner, you can see if the mapping object is currently a point, a line or a polygon. There are three types of polygons.
For example Spot bolts is a point, whereas Systematic bolting is a polygon. The polygon can be changed though, by long tapping the icon.
By long clicking icons with a polygon geometry you can change the type geometry for the objects.
