Default certificate management

The Application Server can be run with a self signed certificate. While not being as secure as a certificate signed from a trustworthy authority the self signed certificate can be easily installed  and provides basic security.

The self signed default certificate is created during installation of the Application Server - unless you advice the Setup Program not to do so. Installation and removing of the default certificate can also be done with a command line utility called CertMgr.exe that is installed along with the Application Server.

Note that the user running the Application Server must have access to the private key associated with the Default certificate. During installation of the Application Server the necessary permissions are automatically set. When using the CertMgr.exe tool be sure to specify the user who runs the application server using the command line arguments. If installing a certificate by hand make sure you also set the appropriate permissions.
