The software end user license agreement (EULA) between you (the licensee) and Pöyry Infra GmbH (the licensor) gives you the right to use the Application Server software, the Smart Client and the Application Server Database to a certain extent. To enforce the terms of this software license agreement the Application Server requires a license code to be installed before it can be used.

The Application Server is shipped with an installed license code for a limited demo license. If you purchased a Redbex license a license code for that license must be requested to enable all functionality included with that license. The procedure of requesting and installing a license code is called the licensing procedure.

To be able to install a license on the Application Server the Application Server must be able to connect to the Redbex Distribution Server at distribution.redbex.com using HTTP on port 80.

The only part of Redbex that is protected by the license code is the Application Server. Neither the Smart Client, nor the Application Server Database or any other part of the systems need to undergo a licensing procedure before they can be used.
