The license code is the data that is issued to you in order to be able to use the Application Server as granted in the License Agreement. In other words the license code is the machine readable form of your license that is used by the Application Server to enforce the license agreement.
If no valid license code is found for an instance of the Application Server the users wont be able to execute views and therefore won't be able to access features and observations stored with the Application Server.
The installed license code will also enforce license restrictions i.e. it will define to what extent the Application Server can be used, e.g. which feature types can be used, how many features of a specific type you can create, how many users can connect to the Application Server at the same time etc.
Table 1 shows the information stored within the license code. The license code itself is issued in encrypted form.
