For detailed analysis of the Application Server Web Services API usage the Application Server can be configured to log all calls to API Services with detailed information. The log information is intended to be used by Redbex for in detail analysis of the performance of an Application Server installation.

By default Server API profiling is not turned on, the global setting Application Server Profiling can be used to turn on the API profiling.

The log files for the profiling information are stored in the Optional logs directory. When turned on API server profiling can generate huge amounts of data, therefore take that you have enough storage space available in the optional logs directory.

Log files are named ServerProfiling_<yyyyMMddhhmmss>.log where yyyyMMddhhmmss is the date of creation of the log file. The Application Server will limit the size of a single log file, if the logged information exceeds this size a new log file will be created.
