The Application Server Database Update Program requires one of the operating systems listed below.

•Windows Server 2008 x64 and x86 versions

•Windows Server 2008 R2 x64 and x86 versions

•Windows 7 x64 and x86 versions

•Windows 8 x64 and x86 versions

•Windows 8.1 x64 and x86 versions

•Windows Server 2012 R2 x64

The Update Program must not necessarily be run on the same computer as the SQL Database Server that hosts the database to be updated, but can be run on any computer from where you have network access to your Database Server.

To determine hardware and operating system details of a computer you can use Windows' MSINFO32 utility. MSINFO32 displays a comprehensive view of your hardware, system components, and software environment.
