With the Application Server Database Update Program you can update the structure and data of installed Application Server Databases to the a later version. The Redbex Application Server requires that the database it accesses is in a specific version i.e. the database server expects a specific structure of the database. Whenever you update the Application Server you will therefore have to check which Database Version is required and if a later version is required you will have to run the Application Server Database Update Program on all databases that are used by instances of that Application Server.

Updating the structure of a database is a process that can fail for many reasons and may leave the database in an inconsistent state. Therefore it is absolutely mandatory to have a backup of the database you update before starting the update process.

Application Server Updates are done using the Application Server Update Program distributed by Pöyry Infra GmbH.
