Log data issued before the Application Server initializes the logging engine will be logged directly to the Windows Event Log (on the computer the Application Server is running). Also in the default configuration of the logging engine some log data will always be persisted in the Windows Event Log.

In both cases the log entries written to the Windows log will be written to the Application protocol. The source of the event log entries written is always RedbexApplicationServer.
