When importing data newly created features or features that are already existing in Redbex but are somehow updated or modified by the import process can be added to specified group features. This is especially useful if you want the imported features to inherit feature directives from the specified group features.

If features are added to group features and to which group features they are added is defined in the general import settings (and therefore this possibility is available for every import type).

If a feature is added to a group feature during the import process this is done before any observations are created or updated by the import process, therefore all feature directives inherited from the specified group features are effective for newly created or updated observations.
