The Application Server Connections defined in the Smart Client are persisted in an XML file. This file contains all the information you entered in the connection settings window, passwords are encoded in an encrypted format.
The connection settings file is located in the roaming application data directory and named ApplicationServerConnectionSettings.xml. If this file is deleted all the Application Server Connections defined by the current user are gone. The next time the user starts the Smart Client he will have to define new Application Server connections.
For system administrators who want to provide their users with some default Application Server Connections the first time they start the Smart Client Redbex provides the possibility to store a ApplicationServerConnectionSettings.xml file in the common application data directory. When the Smart Client start and it cannot find a ApplicationServerConnectionSettings.xml file in the roaming application data directory it will search the common application data directory for this file and if found will copy the file to the user's roaming application data directory.
