For each connection you can define layout settings that will apply to the time series resulting from this connection. These settings are only respected if the global chart setting time series coloring defines so.
If layout settings are defined directly on a connection they will overwrite the settings defined on the pin. If the layout settings are not defined on the pin and also not defined on the connection the system will try to get the layout settings from the display settings associated with the charted property. If the system cannot find any defined layout setting it will choose default values.
