Message delivery to (internal) recipients is always successful, however if a message is also addressed to external recipients the delivery might fail or might fail for some of the external email recipients.
Therefore each sent message has a delivery status that can be on of the values listed in table 1.
If delivery status is not Successful the Delivery log stored with each message might contain more details on why the delivery failed.
Delivery to external recipients is believed to be successful if the message was sent successfully via the external medium, still delivery of external messages might fail later on. This is not reflected in the delivery status.
