Each message can have a severity that is set by the sender of the message. The message severity can be used by recipients for message forwarding and filtering. It is up to the users how severities are set, the Application Server does not restrict the usage of severities. Therefore the severity should be used with care.
The Application Server supports three severity levels described in table 1.

Message is informal. Usually requires no action by recipients. |
Warning |
Message is a warning and should be carefully noted by recipients. Usually requires no immediate action by recipients. |
Critical |
Message is important and usually requires immediate action by the recipients. |
