When a feature is created it is associated with a specific domain. It is not possible to change a features domain association at a later point in time.
The domain in which a feature was created is called the associated domain of that feature. All features associated with a specific domain or any of its subordinate domains are called members of that domain.
Domain assignment shall not be used mainly for structuring features but for defining the context in which the feature is placed. E.g. which classifications are available, which axes are available etc. is defined by the domain.
