This group of settings is used to configure the SMPP (Short Message peer-to-peer) communication that can be used to forward messages via SMS.

Service type |
The system type parameter is used to categorize the type of ESME that is binding to the SMSC. Examples include ìVMSî (voice mail system) and ìOTAî (over-the-air activation system). Specification of the system_type is optional - some SMSCs may not require ESMEs to provide this detail. |
TON |
Indicates Type of Number (TON) of the ESME address. If not known set to Unknown. |
NPI |
Numbering Plan Indicator (NPI) for ESME address. If not known set to Unknown. |
Encoding |
Encoding of data according the SMPP 3.4 specification. |
SMPP sender number |
If specified this phone number will be used when sending SMS, otherwise the mobile phone number of the sending user will be used. |
Max. message length |
The maximum message length for messages forwarded via SMPP. Redbex will truncate messages to this maximum length during SMS translation. Note that the carrier might still split the messages into several SMS. |
Max. messages per minute |
Defines how many messages can be sent via the SMPP service within a minute. |
Max. messages per hour |
Defines how many messages can be sent via the SMPP service within an hour. |
Max. messages per 24 hours |
Defines how many messages can be sent via the SMPP service within 24 hours. |
Max. messages per 7 days |
Defines how many messages can be sent via the SMPP service within seven days. |
Max. messages per 30 days |
Defines how many messages can be sent via the SMPP service within 30 days. |
