This raster layer type layer type uses the Google's Static Maps API to download and display maps as raster images. It supports most visualization types known from the Google Maps webpage.
By using this layer you therefore agree to the terms of use of this API that can be found on https://developers.google.com/maps/terms.
Google's Static Maps Maps API provides maps only in one specific Projected System (WGS 84 / Pseudo-Mercator, EPSG: 3857). Therefore layers of these types will only be displayed in the map view if the Coordinate system setting in the map view settings is set to this specific coordinate system. (in Redbex the WGS 84 / Pseudo-Mercator, EPSG: 3857 system is one of the predefined projected systems installed with every Application Server Database).
The Google Static Maps API can be only accessed only with a Google API Key. You therefore have to provide a Google API Key in the Global setting Miscellaneous: Google Maps API key to see Google Maps. For pricing please refer to the Google API documentation.
