This section describes the process of installing the Redbex Smart Client on a computer system.
The installation is done using a standard Windows Setup Program. Three different versions of the Setup Programs are available The full setup, the light setup and the portable setup. While the full setup is usually the best choice since it installs all software prerequisites automatically, it requires Administrator privileges to be run. The light setup as well as the portable setup do not require administrative privileges but some prerequisites have to be fulfilled before they can be run (see table 1 for details).
If you want to install the Smart Client on a portable device (e.g. an USB stick) or if you want to install different Versions of the Smart client in parallel use the portable setup.
