Recommendation

Memory (RAM)

We recommend at least 1GB of free (not total) RAM

Disk space

At least 4 GB of free disk space shall be available before installation. Disk space is required for the Smart Client's application files as well as for temporary data written during execution of the Smart Client.

Processor

Any state of the art processor will do, multiple cores may speed up the system significantly.

Screen resolution

While the Smart Client can be run on low screen resolutions such as 1024 x 768 a screen resolution of  1280 x 1024 or higher is recommended for a fluent user experience. The higher the resolution the better you can work with multiple tool windows visible at the same time.

The Smart Client is also designed to work well in multi monitor environments.

Connection to Application Server

The faster the better. It is impossible to give specific guidelines here since the overall network performance depends on numerous parameters. We tested the Smart Client with connections to the Application Server in a Local Area Network as well as over Internet connections.
