Being an n-tier system and being built to scale easily from smallest projects to the biggest projects Redbex supports a wide range of different installation scenarios. Installation scenarios define where the tiers of Redbex are physically installed. There are numerous considerations that should be taken into account when deciding for a specific installation scenario; among them performance, security and compliance with the structure of your existing IT environment.

For installing the three mandatory components, the Application Server, the Application Server Database and the Smart Client there are three common installation scenarios which are described in the following chapters.
