You can store any number of message attachments with a message, message attachments can be files of any type and size. Attachments are handled as every other file stored by the Application Server.

Note that while the Application Server does not restrict the size or number of attachments for a message the are usually restrictions when you send a message to an external email recipient or forward a message (via forwarding rules).
