MappRover needs a Application Server as backend. Therefore it is necessary that you define the necessary parameters to access a Redbex Application Server from within MappRover before you can login to MappRover.
Note: MappRover allows you to define any number of connections to different Redbex Application Servers. However only one connection can be active at a specific time, i.e. you will always work with one specific Redbex Application Server at one time.
Opening connection management
The Connection management page is accessible from the Login page by selecting the Change connection link. Note that if there is no connection defined yet the application will directly automatically take you to the Connection page and not to the connection management page.
Adding a new connection
To add a new connection select the + Button in the navigation bar. This will bring up a Connection page where you can define all the necessary parameters for a connection. Table 1 shows the properties you have to define for a connection

Name |
This is the name for your connection. You may choose any name you want. |
Server |
This parameter tells MappRover where it can find the Application Server. The address can be given as DNS name like myserver.company.com or as an IP address like 210.134.29.12 or as just the hostname like Server001 |
Port |
The port on which the Application Server is providing its HTTPS services. This is by default set to 443. |
Instance |
Name of the instance of the Application Server. |

Deleting a connection
To delete an existing connection swipe from right to left on the connection element in the list and select Delete
Editing a connection
To edit an existing connection swipe from right to left on the connection element and choose Edit
