For traceability reasons comments can only be deleted if the feature permission Manage (7) is given. However, comments can be can revoked and therefore be marked as invalid, by the user who created it.

Revoking a comment will not delete the comment but will only mark it as revoked. Users reading comments on a feature or observation can still see revoked comments. All users can revoke comments they authored, users with the feature permission Manage (7) on a specific feature can also revoke any feature or observation comment on that feature.

Revoking a comment cannot be undone.
