During start up the Smart Client loads the multilingual labels shown in the user interface from specially formatted XML files. Translators can modify these XML files to translate or re-translate the Smart Client user interface.

Note that the possibility of modifying these XML files is only meant for translators who work on a translation in collaboration with Redbex. Use caution when modifying the XML files, invalid XML files will cause the Smart Client to crash during start up.

Attention: The XML files will be overwritten with each new installation or update of the Smart Client. Backup your modified files before reinstalling or upgrading the Smart Client.

The XML files used by the Smart Client for loading language specific labels are located in a sub-directory called Themes under the Smart Client application directory. Each language is stored in a separate file, the files for all languages except English are named according to the pattern: Strings.[2-Letter-ISO-Code].xaml . The file with the English translation is named Strings.xaml .

After modifying the XAML files you need to restart the Smart Client in order to see the changed labels.
