Firewall settings

Outgoing connections to the Redbex Application Server

The Smart Client must be able to connect to the Redbex Application Server.

The protocols and ports used for this connection are defined in the Application Server's instance configuration.

Outgoing connections to the Redbex Distribution Server

The Smart Client needs connection to Pöyry Infra GmbH's Redbex Distribution Server to download product updates.

Configure your firewall to all outgoing TCP connections to distribution.redbex.com (137.117.204.95) on port 80.

Google Maps API

For creating map views with Google Maps background images the Smart Client accesses the Google Maps Static API directly.

If you want to use this functionality you will have to open your firewall

Bing Maps API

For creating map views with Microsoft Bing Maps background images the Smart Client accesses the Microsoft Bing Maps API directly.

Open Street Maps API

For creating map views with Open Street Maps background tile the Smart Client accesses the Open Stree Maps API.

Log Entries

The Redbex Smart Client supports logging to the cloud based log service logentries.com (by default the Smart Client is also configured to use that service).

To use this functionality the Application Server must be allowed to communicate with the API of this service.

For this ports 80,514, 443, 10000 and 20000 shall be opened outgoing  for following IP addresses:

54.247.179.233

46.137.78.79

54.217.226.43

54.217.226.19

54.217.226.25

WMS, WFS Services

When rendering map templates that are configured to use WMS or WFS Services the Smart Client will directly access those services.

To access these services the appropriate Connections must be allowed.
