For each classification type the user can create any number of classifications. A classification is a container that holds classification elements. Each classification is created in a domain and available in that domain as well as in all subordinate domains.

Each classification has a name and a description that can be set by the user. The name is mandatory.

A user can modify a classification and the elements of a classification if he has Modify Classifications (13) permission on the domain the classification belongs to and if he has Modify classifications (2) on at least one feature types that uses this classification type for one of its properties.
