Each classification implements a specific classification type. The classification type defines what characteristic classifications of that type describe. Classification types are deployed by Pöyry Infra GmbH with modular updates. The user cannot create, modify or delete classification types.

When a property structure is deployed along with feature types or sensor types and the property structure contains a property of type classification or multi-select classification the classification type of that property is already set to one specific classification type. This assignment cannot be changed by the user. However the user can change the classification used.
