After starting the Smart Client Setup Program program will check the launch conditions. If one of these conditions is not met the Setup Program will exit immediately. Table 1 shows the launch conditions checked by the Setup Program.

If all launch conditions are met the Setup Program also software prerequisites. The Smart Client Setup Program and the Smart Client itself build upon other software and this software must therefore be installed before the Smart Client Setup Program or the Smart Client is run. If the  Setup Program detects missing software prerequisites it will automatically install it. Table 2 lists the software prerequisites checked. Note that these software products are not products of Pöyry Infra GmbH, specific license terms apply to each of these products.

Software prerequisites are installed as separate software products and will therefore appear in the Windows list of installed Software. Do not remove those software packages since the Smart Client will not work without them. Software prerequisites will not be uninstalled automatically when you uninstall the Smart Client.

If all prerequisites are already installed the setup will immediately proceed to Step 2: Starting the Setup Assistant. If not, the installation of these prerequisites is started.  The installation of prerequisites may take several minutes to complete.
