This section describes how you use the portable Setup Program that installs the Smart Client on your computer. We recommend to use the portable Setup Program only if you intend to install different versions of the Smart Client in parallel or if you want to install the Smart Client on a portable device like a USB stick.

The portable Setup Program for the latest version of the Smart Client can be downloaded from http://download.redbex.com.

We recommend to download the latest version of the Smart Client that is compatible with your Application Server before starting with this installation.

The portable setup requires Microsoft .NET framework 4.5 to be installed on the computer. If this is not the case for your computer you will have to use the full setup program, or install .NET framework 4.5 manually before running the light setup.
