After starting the Portable Smart Client Setup Program, the program will check the launch conditions. If one of these conditions is not met the Setup Program will exit immediately. Table 1 shows the launch conditions checked by the Setup Program.
If all launch conditions are met the Setup Program will immediately proceed to Step 2: Starting the Setup Assistant.

Microsoft .NET framework 4.5 |
The light Smart Client builds on the Microsoft .NET framework version 4.5. If this framework is not installed the setup will show an appropriate message (figure 1). In this case you may either download and install the .NET framework 4.5 yourself or you can use the full setup that will also install the .NET framework for you. Note that starting from Windows 8 .NET framework 4.5 is part of the operating system. |
