The Map View Configuration is a UConfiguration that affects the map view as a whole. Table 1 and table 2 lists all settings available in this UConfiguration.
General
Setting |
Description |
Coordinate system |
Default: If the global setting Default coordinate system is set this coordinate system will be used as default, else the predefined WGS 84 / Pseudo-Mercator (EPSG 3857) coordinate system will be used Defines the coordinate system used to display data. This can be a projected or a geographic coordinate system. When executed the map view will transform all displayed data to this coordinate system. WMS and WFS will deliver data in the coordinate system defined in the configuration of that layer. Redbex will not transform the data delivered by WMS and WFS. It is up to the user to ensure that the data delivered by the WMS is conforming to the coordinate system specified with this setting. If these systems do not match layer will be shown but the location of objects will be wrong. |
Scale bar |
Default: Bottom Left Defines if a scale bar is shown and where that scale bar is shown on the map. |
Minimum visible length |
Default: 400 This value can be used to define the maximum zoom detail when automatic zooming is enabled. The value is a length in the unit of the used coordinate system. When automatically zooming to the contents of layers the map view will zoom in no further than to a rectangle with this side length. |
Map scale unit system |
Default: Metric Defines the unit system used in the scale bar. |
Show annotation layer |
Default: Yes If set the annotation stored with the Map view are shown, else annotations are hidden |

Annotation layer settings
Setting |
Description |
Label size |
Default 8 Defines the size of the labels shown with annotation elements. Size is given in pixels |
Label color |
Defines the color used for the labels shown with annotation elements. If set to null the labels will be shown in a default color. |
Foreground color |
The Foreground color is used for the graphical annotation elements (points, lines, and the border of polygons). If set to null the labels will be shown in a default color. |
Background color |
The Background / Fill color used for graphical annotations. This color is used for the filling of polygons as well as for the filling of points (if point size is large) |
Opacity |
Defines the opacity of the fill color used in polygon annotations. This setting is a value between 1 and 255. 255 is opaque, 1 is (nearly) fully transparent |
Line style |
Defines the line style used with annotation elements i.e. the line style for line annotations and the border style for polygon annotations. |
Line thickness |
Defines the thickness used to show line annotations and the borders of polygon annotations |
Point symbol |
Defines the symbol used to visualize point annotations. |
Point symbol size |
Defines the size for point symbols. The unit of this value is pixels you can us a value between 1 and 128. |
