Messages are modal windows the Smart Client uses to display errors and warnings, ask for confirmation and to display other important notifications that needs immediate user interaction.

Note that the Smart Client uses output messages instead of displaying messages wherever possible. Messages are only displayed for severe errors, warnings, confirmations and really important notifications.
