Presentation definitions can be stored for later or repeated execution, they are then called presentation templates. A presentation template can be created from every presentation definition.

Presentation templates are always linked to domains. A presentation template assigned to a domain is member of that domain and all of its subordinate domains, i.e. it is available for use in these domains.

While templates are bound to domains this does not limit the features you can chart with that domain. I.e. even if a feature is not member of the domain in which the template resides you can still chart the feature with that template, provided you have read rights to the domain and the feature.

The Application Server allows you to create personal and public presentation templates. Personal presentation templates are only visible by the user who created them, public templates are visible to all users.

Every user can create create, modify or delete his personal presentation templates. To create, modify or delete public presentation templates you need the domain permission Manage presentation templates (9).

Personal templates can be transformed to public templates, if the Manage presentation templates (9) domain permission is granted on the domain the template is bound to.

Public presentation templates can be transformed to personal presentation templates if the Manage presentation templates (9)  domain permission is granted on the domain the template is bound to.
