This chapter describes the types of properties that can be used in property structures. It also describes the display settings, default values and validation rules that you can configure for each property of a specific type (as part of the property structure configuration)
Properties of some specific types can be defined as calculated properties. These properties will then not be editable by users but their value will be calculated from other properties in the same property structure.
Mandatory settings
Properties of all property types have a mandatory setting that can be configured as part of the property structure configuration.
Common display settings
Properties of all property types have a common set of display settings that can be configured as part of the property structure configuration. Table 1 shows these common display settings. Each property type can define additional display settings. Note that display settings are hints to the clients accessing the Application Server and might not be implemented by all clients. The Redbex Smart Client does implement all display settings described in this chapter.
