After starting the Application Server Database Setup Program this program checks some launch conditions such as the version of the operating system, the available memory and others more. If one of these launch conditions is not met the Setup Program will show an appropriate message and will exit immediately.

Note that these launch conditions are checked for the computer on which the Setup Program is executed which is not necessarily the same computer on which you  will install the database.

After that the Setup Program will automatically install some software prerequisites that are needed to run the Setup Program. If needed the Setup Program will try to download the needed prerequisites directly from the Internet, therefore if the prerequisites are not already installed an internet connection is mandatory to be able to install the Application Server Database.

The Installation of the software prerequisites may take several minutes to complete.

After all prerequisites have been installed the Setup Program will start the Setup Assistant that will guide you through all remaining setup steps.
