The Favorites window is a tool window that displays the personal view and presentation template favorites of the current user. It can be used to save personal bookmarks that allow a quicker access to repeatedly used views and presentation templates. The Favorites window can be opened from the Common Ribbon tab.

The window displays either view favorites or presentation template favorites depending on the selected panel (figure 1:1).

Views

View favorites are created in the View Explorer window. From the Favorites window the favorite can be executed by double clicking the favorite or by selecting Execute view from the context menu of the favorite. To see the favorite view in the view structure of the View Explorer Window select Locate in View Explorer.

To rename the favorite or to change the description of a favorite choose edit in the context menu. When a view favorite is created from the View Explorer the favorite is named as the view and the view description (if any) is copied to the favorite's description. You can however edit both name and description of the favorite without affecting the original view.

To delete one or more view favorite select those favorites and then select Delete form the favorite's context menu or hit the Del key. Deleting a favorite does not affect the original view.

Presentation Templates

Presentation Template Favorites are created from the Domain Explorer. From the Favorites window the favorite presentation template can be directly executed by selecting the appropriate command from the context menu of the favorite.

When a presentation template favorite is created from the Presentation Template Explorer the favorite is named as the template and the template description (if any) is copied to the favorite's description.
